“God is Good, that’s who He truly is”

This stopped being a statement or information to me.

It’s now a reality that is continuously being revealed to my heart by the Holy Ghost. The more I see this truth, the greater the magnitude & intensity that sinks into my heart.

My oh my, I pray that everyone who reads this post will shift from a powerless confession that God is good to a revealed reality that God is & He truly is good.

The beauty of the Heart of God is that He chose to direct His goodness to us through Jesus Christ.

FRIDAY
” This is it. I mean, the day is finally here. ”
You see, ever since I was told that I would be part of the missions team going to Kabare Girls’ High School Weekend Challenge, something just happened to my heart. Not my blood pumping tool but my spirit man.

There was such a thrill that translated to so many mixed emotions.
For a while now, I had sat at God’s feet to hear His heart for this mission & well because I genuinely enjoy God’s presence.

Actually, that “I” should be “We”.
Prior to this day, sons of God were downloading the Father’s heart & were speaking what they heard.

There’s much power availed when righteous men & women unite in faith and pray. And that’s just what I felt in my heart.

” The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power]. – James 5:16 AMP “

God was revealing His heart . I mean, He doesn’t hide from us.
As sons of God spoke what was deposited in their hearts, faith was being made effectual.

” That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. – Philemon 1:6 KJV “

God spoke healing of hearts, freedom from any bondage, restoration in all manners, ministerial gifts, financial freedom, physical healing, and so much more. This would transcend to their families.

And this is what we believed. We placed a demand on that. We were at rest because Jesus said these are finished works.

With hearts persuaded & mind set on God, we embarked on this journey to Kirinyaga county.

This was my first time in Kirinyaga county, so my eyes were running back and forth to capture the beautiful scenery; green trees, the coffee plantations, the farms, the people on the road about their business, birds chirping, whistling of wind against the leaves. I love nature especially because it shows a beautiful blend of uniqueness.

One of the ways I believe in my heart that God is real is through creation. No man or big bang theory would birth such a diverse and magnificent sight.
After roughly two hours, we reached our destination.

” Kabare Girls’ High School”, the sight of this banner just increased the ‘drama’ in my spirit. So much was going on in me. Here we were, a group of young gents and ladies who were being set up for an experience beyond their imaginations.

” Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. – Ephesians 3:20-21 “

We weren’t here to present finger snapping sermons or heart throbbing worship or excite souls. We were here, by the Holy Spirit, to reveal Jesus.
We were here to camp around God’s presence.

We were very aware that God desired to minister to us as much as He did the ladies. I was so expectant to be met by Love.

I remember God telling me that He wanted to show me how much He pursues His beloved.

“God never does a shoddy job at pursuing us.”

This registered so deep and well, I was ready to not only taste but to see His goodness manifest.

The kind of welcome we received from the CU committee and the Patrons amazed me. Love oozed out of them so effortlessly. Here we were, a reunion with some of the members of the Body of Christ. Makes me wonder how beautiful Heaven will be when we all go back home.
As we snacked, people introduced themselves and shared their expectations for the weekend.

“Expectations are the breeding ground for miracles”

And as each person spoke, you could see it through their eyes, a glimmer of hope, a ready heart. The Presence of God was so tangible. You could feel people’s expectations. There was a oneness of mind, oneness of heart, oneness of Spirit & oneness of faith. God was & will forever be our only pursuit.

We took time and worshipped God not only because of what He wanted to do but because He deserves our Hallelujah. Then as the Holy Spirit led, sons of God began to pray in the Spirit.

“The lifestyle of a son is that of being led by the Holy Spirit.”

After the prayers, we made our way to the Social Hall where the rest of the beautiful ladies were settling down. Most of them unaware of what they will experience.

I love praise & worship. It’s not really about the tears or the lifted hands but the Person we experience & the Name we exalt. I believe worship is intimacy with God.

Where as we sing “Hosanna”, our hearts truly capture how Majestic & Holy God is. Where as we sing, ” You are Good, so Good, oh ooh “, our eyes are opened to that truth & our hearts are drawn to Him.

And as we worshipped, the atmosphere kept on changing. People were becoming aware of the Presence of God.

“When You walk into the room, everything changes. Darkness starts to vanish at the Light that You bring.”

This was happening. Literally, every knee bows to God.

It was time to feed from the word of God. With hearts open to the Holy Spirit, we listened to the man of God preach on “God-potential”

Below is sermon notes of what he preached on.

Kabare Girls High School Weekend Challenge

The more the word of God landed on our hearts, the more hungry we became & the more we realized that we were made for so much more. We are of the God-class & are never meant to settle for what the natural offers.
Faith began to rise.

When he was done preaching, an alter call was made & I was amazed by the numbers streaming to the front. God was cheering them on. Heaven was cheering them on.

Hearts were being reconciled to the Father as they believed with their heart & confessed with their mouths that Jesus is Lord. They were saved. They were now in their Source.
Salvation is by grace & has to be received by faith in Jesus.

” 13 for, Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.  – Romans 10:13 “

But it didn’t end there, God wanted them to receive the infilling of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. God wanted them to experience what the disciples in Acts experienced during Pentecost.
This is how I know that it isn’t works. Everything God gives must be received by faith. They aren’t earned.
And oh my, you should have seen how excited they were as they spoke in tongues. It’s so funny & beautiful how we all respond differently to the Person of the Holy Spirit. Some cried, some shook tremendously, some were still, some laughed, some smiled, some wailed, some almost fell down yet the same God.
This experience will never get old to me.
Yes, they had questions about this experience & God was very ready to teach them.

“We are meant to be taught the life of God that we’ve been reintroduced to. That is how we get to function because we now understand.”

Missions team debrief & dinner time came then we went to sleep. Hearts were on fire to see God’s Kingdom come & the Kingdom was here.
This was just the beginning…
